The Friends of Steve McQueen Car and Motorcycle Show has experienced steady growth and increasing popularity, witnessed by the exhibition of 375 classic cars and motorcycles at the 2014 event. Approximately 5,000-plus attendees perused the grounds, enjoying an up close and personal view of these collectible vehicles.
Over the past seven years, the car and motorcycle show has raised more than $700,000, with a goal for 2015 of reaching the one million dollar mark. The actor credited the school with turning his life around and pointing him on the path to stardom. McQueen never forgot Boys Republic, and remained involved with the school, even after he became a Hollywood star and legend. The McQueen family continues that association
