Bought in 2011 for £400, had seen better days and was in need of a full restore. To start with i fully stripped off all parts and sorted parts that i could re use and parts that i could not, made a huge parts list from this, stripped the frame and all metal parts down to bare metal, then sent it away to be panel beaten and base coated, then with some help from my dad gave her the green and black spray job.
Engine wise, as is is the small door early vespa 90 it wouldn't feel right modding such an old engine, also the newer engines gave me a wider variety of tuning options, so i bought a 70's 90cc engine for £100, with this i fully built the engine with poling 133cc cylinder kit, a Tameni racing crankshaft, 19mm dellorto carb, malossi ignition kit, simonini exhaust, OEM driveshaft and 4 speed gearbox, uprated 4 prong gear selector.
The old 1964 engine is in the process of being restored with old new stock parts so that i have the engine that matches the frame.
