Lost ignition keys - replacing ignition cylinder.

I own a 2005 limited edition two-stroke PX150. I love it but last summer, I lost the keys (even the spare went missing). I called several locksmiths but none seemed interested in attempting to 'unlock' the scooter. I contacted a Vespa shop in the Toronto area who suggested that I order a new ignition cylinder from the 'mothership' in Italy. Both ignition cylinder, glovebox cylinder and tow pairs of keys arrived and are ready to install. The problem is how to remove the original key cylinder to replace it with the new one. The front wheel is in lock position. Does anybody in this group have experience in doing this? I don't want to damage anything attempting to replace the ignition cylinder. Thanks.
