It's a 1979 P200 E and I weigh 210 lbs, 220 with boots on. I should think it would be running stronger. Anyhow the rear tire, a Bridgestone Hoop B01 Tubeless, blew out on me so I'm lucky I wasn't going very fast by the time it deflated.

See all that gunk on the engine? Is there a typical culprit for something like this? I'm changing all the gaskets and seals anyway, but I was just wondering. Getting a Malossi 210cc cylinder kit with head, on this '80 P200E. Probably the ugliest of the Vespas, but still, it deserves a complete makeover. I got hit by a car on the front left, just a slow speed hit, dent, etc. Dented the frame, glove box and left cowl. It's all straight now. I'm thinking a Steel Blue/Silver color.
