Am sorry to admit that the Vespa has been sitting around in my garage for a couple years unused but want to try and get it running very soon. I know the oil/gas ratio mix but was curious if anyone had any other tips that I may want to try using in case I run into difficulties.

I bought it overseas in Pakistan from a mechanic that specializes in refurbishing these older models from scratch (they look brand new afterwards) and, as part of the deal, puts in a new motor manufactured in India so that will have to get broken in too. All tips welcomed! thx

Obviously, insure the fuel stream is fresh, if it was running previously and the fuel was left in the carb bowl, the carb will need cleaning. Afterwhich, check/clean the plug and "have at it"!
Unfortunately, be wary as many Asian scoots are notorious for poor workmanship.
