I really enjoy riding this bike. It's my go-to bike, now that the Vespa is being redone. I gave it a kind of scrambler look, maybe a flat tracker? This whole idea was brought on by the front tire. The PO had just put on a new chunky front tire, for whatever reason, but I went with it, adding a rear knobby as well. I cut the rear end off a bit, and fabricated the rear to match the seat curvature. I added an electric seat latch with a hidden button under the seat to release it, but only with the key in the on position. Makes it easy to get to the electronics, which was relocated to make the mid-...

Great little truck in a sea of bohemoths. Yes, only about 16 mpg. Yes, it needs a 5 speed (this one has a 4 speed), Yes, it needs the KingCab for it to reasonably comfortable for anyone over 5'8" , but it runs great, gets a ton of compliments where ever I go. It's a great conversation starter. I don't know how many people have come up to me and said, "Hey, I had one of those!" They ran this model from '72 - '79, the last couple of years, from this run, most of those trucks came with a 5 speed and KingCab standard. It's a real bear to get more that 65 or 70 MPH. You don't want to go that fast ...

This P200E I've had for a few years. I've been watching the YouTube videos that Steve and Robot put out from Scooterwest, on complete Vespa rebuilds. They have a P200E in white that they totally rebuilt and filmed the whole process. It's very helpful if you've never done a complete restoration before. So, I got this scoot from this guy, a friend of my wife. Someone gave him this scooter and he never registered it, or even put it in non-op. This one, a California P200E, came with the BBq rack and back rest, full size windscreen, and a sidecar. Yes, a sidecar. I didn't have room for the side...

Just got this RD400. It's a '78 in Yamaha Yellow Livery. It doesn't have the airbox, it's podded, and the oil injection system was disconnected from the carbs, it's a pre-mix. I see some leaks, so I'll probably go into the motor this summer. It didn't even have a kickstand when I got it. I don't know what the previous owner was doing when he went for a ride, he must have never got off the bike when he was out and about. I'm going to keep the body and frame pretty much intact. I got new controls, levers, brake lines already and a KICKSTAND, Godammit. What a maroon the PO was!!! Should've just ...

Hello everyone, Due to a complete failure of the database server, we went down yesterday at about 4PM Pacific Time. With a bit of ingenuity and a bit of luck, I was able to recover all data and provisioned a new server overnight. Everything should be working normally now, with no posts or other data lost. Ironically, it happened while I was working on a better system to back up the database. Thank you for your patience. Skye Nott Webmaster

Hello everyone, Now that the database upgrade is nearing completion, and I finally have the ability to do "hot backups" without taking the website offline for maintenance, I'd like to give everyone a little bonus. Effective immediately, all Private Message (PM) storage limits are now doubled Free Members: 500 -> 1,000 Silver Members: 750 -> 1,500 Gold Members: 1,000 -> 2,000 Platinum Members: 1,500 -> 3,000 Hope this makes everyone's life a little easier, especially for you vendors out there that use PMs a lot! Thanks for your support, Skye Nott Webmaster

The new database servers are performing well under load, so I'll be continuing the database conversion process to the new layout for all websites, which will pave the way for better replication and backup systems. Please expect to see the "Scheduled maintenance" message on Friday night, February 17, 2017 starting at 9:00 PM Pacific time. I expect the work to take 4-6 hours as I want to take a full backup of the system for safety before making any changes. Once the websites are back up, there should be no visible difference in the operation or performance of the website. Schedule: Jan...

Hello everyone, You've probably noticed that this website has had some unplanned downtime lately. I'm not sure about the exact cause, it's probably an intermittent hardware failure as the techs keep finding the main server powered off at the console. I've been rebooting and repairing the database as needed to keep things running, while making plans to transition to brand new servers with updated database, webserver, and firewall software. The good news is I've already run the migration plan on some of my smaller websites, and it's working brilliantly. The bad news is that the frequenc...
