Did you wash & wax your Vespa today, or ride somewhere cool?
Fire it up for the first time after a rebuild or make a helmet cam or drive-by video?
Maybe it's just a nice day and you feel like using that fancy new camera...

Thanks for adding your photos Philip and Damir!
They look really good... I've never seen that tangerine colour before, it looks really sharp.
I wish winter was over here so I could finish rebuilding my VNB...

Hi Peter, nice patina on your VNB! I've always loved that classic colour.

Any plans on restoring it, or plan on keeping it as-is?

Hi Skye I am planning on keeping her original. I bought her as a project to strip and modernise and bring into the 21st century (love the shape of these). But she is just so complete it would be criminal to do it to this machine. so after much deliberation and help from the vetran vespa club I have descided to just maintain. currently she is seized and the flywheel need attention. The body work is sound but paint work rusted. I aim to get her running and wax/oil the paint work to keep the patina. She is a 1952 douglas Rod that has been in a shead since 1955 (tax disc still in place) :-) I have plans to send her to holland to get her sorted. My ride out is a Moto vespa 1982 P200E again original condition onlty circa 2000 miles on the clock and in fantastic origional condition for her age. How is the scooter scene over there?

1968 Vespa R. Bought way back in the early 90's in Puglia, southern Italy. It's still there so I only get to take it out on holidays, I'm based up in the North. Its running and 100% original, or as original as it was, if not more so, than when I bought it that is. I've recently been putting a bit of time into bringing it back to its former glory.

When I bought it it had been abused a bit and was covered in dents and scratches. I had the front suspension fixed, put the original exhaust back on ( it had a horrible thing on it meant to improve power but which was shot and awful looking) and a few other bits and bobs as well as touching the paint up a bit. The back light cover is probably not the original one nor is the seat but its what was on it when i bought it so I'm sort of emotionally attached to them now so I'll not be changing them. Probably.

the vin number on here says its 1970, the original book which i still have says its 1968. ???

I'm thinking of getting a PX from the 1980s as a run around. Its a nice shape and would probably be a bit more reliable if used on a day to day basis.
