I have a vintage Vespa , but I am also working on a 1978 Yamaha LB80. I believe the muffler has a build up of carbon, I have removed it , power washed it inside , cooked it in a gas grill 450 degrees, sent it to a commercial sand blaster had the inside blasted as good as possible, soaked it for 2 weeks in a bucket of diesel and cooked again. Next step is to cut it open and weld it back together if I cant think of what else to do. Anyone have any other sugestions.?
