Hello,

I'm new to this forum. I own a 1980 Bajaj Chetak and from what I've read parts from a Vespa Sprint 150 will interchange. I want to upgrade the front Spring Shock and can't figure out the right one. I ordered a stiffer hi perfomance one for the Sprint and it seems to be much wider than the one on the scooter so I don't think it will fit correctly. Has anyone done this before? Any suggestions?

Kindly,

I have an existing coil that looks like its in good shape but the HT Lead isn't attached and needs to be replaced because the spark clamp is damaged.

My question is how do you connect the HT Lead to the coil? It looks like it just ripped out and if I need to buy the coil with the lead attached already I will, but would like to find out if I have to make that purchase at all.

This is the model I have and everything is the same just the wire isn't attached.
The frame numbers on these later models were not in location as per all other GS150s and did not follow the same numbering format.
Is there a way of contacting Piaggio museum for this information.

Help: What are my stator/flywheel options for a 125TS? (no replies)

Hi. I am stuck. I'm putting a freshly rebuilt vnl3m (s/n 100.783) into my old VBB. The motor I got has no stator or fly and my old 6v VBB one doesn't fit (wrong taper etc).

So I thought well I have to spend some more money but then again now's a great time to upgrade to electronic ignition.

I contacted the seller who had bought some lot of parts and he said he believed he had a stator and fly from my engine. He found what he thinks was on it but it is points and possibly maybe even a circlip style flywheel. However he did say this flywheel (ducati) was compatible with both points (lobe) and cdi statora if I chose to get an elec stator).

Would love to but what kind? Ts is an uncommon model. Does it use older style or straight
Up modern p style stators and flys?

He offered the pair (points sator and fly) for about $80. Great price but I want cdi not points. (can this stator be easily
Converted?)

Meanwhile another contact offers me just the stator (p125 electronic
Kind) for $110. Sounds good but then ive already spent more than the first option and I still
Need The right flywheel. Which is what for a
Ts?

And in the background I'm aware that scootrs sells complete kits for about 200. Just not sure which
Kit for a ts on their site?

So help: any info on the TS and how I can convert it to use electronic ignition?
Thanks
For any info. Illuminating, or otherwise.

hi to all from wisconsin. i own a 1966 vbb 150 which is all torn down at the moment getting ready to resto. My dad bought this vespa in the late 70's. about 4 years ago I took this Vespa back from my brother in law who could not get the thing started, He asked if i wanted it back and am I glad I did. It sat for a few years without riding or proper winterizing. I decided one summer day to go fire her up. threw some gas In it (without the oil!!!!!!) 3-4 starts and she fired right up I rode her around alittle then realized she needed 2 stroke mix! I know 2 strokes but didnt think of it at the time. I put some Honda hp2 and all was fine. I had a Joy riding it that summer and got tons of looks. I really became attached to the scooter and wanted to freshen her up so that fall I tore it down and she has sat ever since I have ordered parts since the teardown but need to paint the body and do some welding then start to put her back together and hopefully it'll be ready to cruise this summer. Im located south of Milwaukee so if anybody is from the area and would like to lend a hand or offer experianced advice please feel free to let me know. Hope to learn alot from you guys. thanks for reading

In Austin, Texas... mostly into cars and motorcycles but have always admired the looks of the old Vespa's. Did some work on trade for these two scooters that I have now. I just took what I could get so I'm not really sure if they're worth much... honestly don't care as I don't foresee ever selling them.

What I have, or at least what I think I have...
a '58 VS5
a '62 VNB

Are there other locations for vin identification or just the one. The scooters don't have any rust but the numbers are near impossible to read, at least as a whole. I can make out the VS5T but that's about it on the GS150.... on the other scooter I can make out the serial number portion but not so much on the markings before the star.

Are the numbers in other location?

my 1966 125super kept stalling. I cleaned out gas tank, all lines and had a professional clean out the carbeurator. But it keeps stalling. :-(
I took carb air filter off and looked inside and noticed that the carb wasnt shooting any gas even with the throttle. Someone said it might be a vacuum issue. Does anyone have insight on this? Thanks

I am trying to instal a new clutch cable into my 1974 Vespa 150 super. When I first started the whole cable was missing including the houseing. I have been trying and thread the entire cable down the frame to the engine using crease and WD 40. I took off the speedometer to get a better angle, but keep getting hung up somewhere near the break pedal. Is there another place to accesses the cable? Does anyone know of a better method?

Hi,

I'm new with Vespa and I just inherited a 1978 P125x with only 969 miles on the odometer. I has not been ridden since 1991, but it has been started every few months. It arrived in Tampa from Oregon without a battery since the shipper didn't allow it, but I put a new battery in and tried to start. It leaked gas all over the floor and did not start. Before I start taking it apart, where would a likely place be for the gas leak? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Hi I'm new here and new to scooters though I own and have owned many motorcycles. I just brought home a 64 VBB 150, all there but pretty banged up. The paper work I got shows the motor was rebuilt in 99. It had gas in it for 5 years so of course it will not start with out a good cleaning of the fuel system. The old gas will not even flow out the line so it is pretty mucked up.
I really do not need a project but it was owned by a friend and I always liked Vespa's since I was a little kit and the blond life guard, she road a red vespa.
