Hello,

I'm new to this forum. I own a 1980 Bajaj Chetak and from what I've read parts from a Vespa Sprint 150 will interchange. I want to upgrade the front Spring Shock and can't figure out the right one. I ordered a stiffer hi perfomance one for the Sprint and it seems to be much wider than the one on the scooter so I don't think it will fit correctly. Has anyone done this before? Any suggestions?

Kindly,

I have an existing coil that looks like its in good shape but the HT Lead isn't attached and needs to be replaced because the spark clamp is damaged.

My question is how do you connect the HT Lead to the coil? It looks like it just ripped out and if I need to buy the coil with the lead attached already I will, but would like to find out if I have to make that purchase at all.

This is the model I have and everything is the same just the wire isn't attached.
Do I even need a battery? It's not an electric start I can't find a place holder for it and it's not in any books.
Here's great Vespa site that is busy with posters from around the world (www.modernvespa.com.
)I've only been into these little guys for not quite a year. But have learned so much from these guys. My background is more into classic cars like the E Type jag and the early Ford Mustangs.
Regarding the cost of the "smallies", it can be so "all of the map", as we say here. It just depends on the condition. This Blue Badge 150, I paid $800 USD. It needed this rear floor section replaced, the tank needed to be cleaned, a brake switch replaced and an entire seat.

Hi Mate,
Sorry, do not speak Italian, that's why it is so bad? However, I do have a half a shot at Spanish. Thanks for that new link. Do you know about SIP....although German, I've bought sheet metal replacements part from them and are of excellent quality. In this pic, I'm test fitting a new floor pan section on my 66 Blue Badge/Sprint 150.
Ciao!?
